In January, 1931, Sibyl Mary (Croly) Hanchett wrote a short essay intended for her as yet unborn grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In the essay she describes the house and household, then filled with 4 children aged 11 to 20.
The original document is in the possession of Marie (Chander) Gale, owner of this blog.
It is posted in several parts, transcribed exactly as written. Photos have been added from both public sources and private photo albums.
